Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?

I got a contract offer for 8 months as a procurement assistant and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have 13 months of savings left.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
