Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - 15 weeks in

I got a contract offer for 18 months as a copywriter and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as a copywriter before this. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
