Salary expectations: how do you answer? - what worked for you?

Nadia Kowalski · 2026-04-24T12:31:02.632Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a mechanic. I looked up ranges in Tampa and they vary a lot. How do you research fairly?

Check several sources for pay in Tampa, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.
