Salary expectations: how do you answer? - what worked for you?

I have been out of work for 17 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I looked up ranges in Omaha and they vary a lot.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
