Salary expectations: how do you answer? - what worked for you?

Jae Solberg · 2026-06-10T14:41:45.259Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a retail manager. There are 18 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I do not want to price myself out.

Check several sources for pay in Albuquerque, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.
