Salary expectations: how do you answer?, welding apprentice here

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. I worked as a welding apprentice before this. I looked up ranges in Tucson and they vary a lot. How do you research fairly?

Asking about the range for the role first worked for me. Some recruiters share it.
