Salary expectations: how do you answer? (update)

Quinn Okonkwo · 2026-07-17T07:01:37.056Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a hotel front-desk agent. I worked as a hotel front-desk agent before this. I looked up ranges in Minneapolis and they vary a lot. What did you say?

Benefits matter too. A slightly lower rate with better coverage was better for me.
