Salary expectations: how do you answer?, forklift operator here

Priya Bergstrom · 2026-06-10T01:28:44.850Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a forklift operator. I am in Honolulu, in case local advice matters. I looked up ranges in Honolulu and they vary a lot. Does giving a range hurt?

Benefits matter too. A slightly lower rate with better coverage was better for me.
