Salary expectations: how do you answer? (Columbus)

Lukas Grimaldi · 2026-07-24T09:59:42.779Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a welding apprentice. I looked up ranges in Columbus and they vary a lot. How do you research fairly?

Benefits matter too. A slightly lower rate with better coverage was better for me.
