I have been out of work for 7 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I looked up ranges in Boston and they vary a lot. Does giving a range hurt?

Check several sources for pay in Boston, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.
