Salary expectations: how do you answer? after 9 years as a copywriter

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I do not want to price myself out. What did you say?

I gave a range based on local postings and said I was flexible depending on the whole package. They did not push back.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
