Salary expectations: how do you answer? after 5 years as a procurement assistant

I have been out of work for 11 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. I worked as a procurement assistant before this. I do not want to price myself out. What did you say?

I gave a range based on local postings and said I was flexible depending on the whole package. They did not push back.
