Salary expectations: how do you answer? after 4 years as a logistics coordinator

I have been out of work for 8 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I looked up ranges in Jacksonville and they vary a lot. Does giving a range hurt?
