Salary expectations: how do you answer?

Priya Moreno · 2026-07-31T19:42:00.358Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a web developer. It has been a long 3 weeks. I also do not want to sell myself short. How do you research fairly?

Check several sources for pay in Cincinnati, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.
