Salary expectations: how do you answer? - 3 months and counting

Kenji Baptiste · 2026-04-30T11:14:57.647Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a hotel front-desk agent. I worked as a hotel front-desk agent before this. I looked up ranges in Fresno and they vary a lot. Does giving a range hurt?

Check several sources for pay in Fresno, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.
