Salary expectations: how do you answer? - 13 months and counting

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I do not want to price myself out. What did you say?

Check several sources for pay in Minneapolis, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.

Benefits matter too. A slightly lower rate with better coverage was better for me.
