Returning to work after caring for family - any advice?

I stepped out for 14 months to care for a family member and now want to return. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have been taking an online course. How did you get back in?

I began with part-time temp work, which helped me get back into the rhythm.
