Returning to work after caring for family after 8 years as an event coordinator

I stepped out for 9 months to care for a family member and now want to return. I worked as an event coordinator before this. I am unsure how to describe the break.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
