Returning to work after caring for family after 16 years as a retail manager

I stepped out for 5 months to care for a family member and now want to return. I worked as a retail manager before this. I am unsure how to describe the break. How did you get back in?

I began with part-time temp work, which helped me get back into the rhythm.
