References when my manager was laid off too (Richmond)

Freya Marchetti · 2026-07-24T17:13:49.453Z

My manager was laid off too and I am unsure who to use as a reference. I am in Richmond, in case local advice matters. A colleague offered to vouch for me. How do you ask politely?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
