References when my manager was laid off too - any advice?

Priya Abara · 2026-09-20T02:54:35.843Z

The company closed and I am not sure how to reach former colleagues. I am in Detroit, in case local advice matters. I have one former client who liked my work. How do you ask politely?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
