Re-entering the job market after caregiving (update)

I used to work as a medical assistant and I am looking for a part-time role to start. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am unsure how to describe the break.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
