Preparing for my first interview in 9 months - what worked for you?

It has been 9 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I want to come across as confident and honest. Any questions to ask at the end?

Arrive early, drink water and take a slow breath before you walk in. It sounds simple but it helps.
