Preparing for my first interview in 8 months - first time posting

It has been 8 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I am in Portland, in case local advice matters. I have practised answers but they sound stiff. How do you prepare answers?

Prepare three stories with a clear beginning, action and result, and adapt them to the questions.
