Preparing for my first interview in 7 months after 13 years as a data-entry clerk

It has been 7 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have practised answers but they sound stiff. How do you prepare answers?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
