Preparing for my first interview in 6 months - what worked for you?

It has been 6 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have practised answers but they sound stiff. How do you prepare answers?

Prepare three stories with a clear beginning, action and result, and adapt them to the questions.
