Preparing for my first interview in 6 months - what worked for you?

It has been 6 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have practised answers but they sound stiff.

I record myself on my phone and listen back. The second try is always better than the first.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
