Pivoting from welding apprentice to something new - 8 weeks in

After 7 years as a welding apprentice I am thinking about moving into a different field. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have a little time and a small budget for training. How did you start?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 11 months.
