Pivoting from social media manager to something new (update)

After 9 years as a social media manager I am thinking about moving into a different field. I have been trying to stay organised about it. My family is supportive but nervous. How did you start?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
