Pivoting from security officer to something new - 6 months and counting

I want to move from security officer to something with more stability. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have a little time and a small budget for training. Has anyone made a similar move?

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 6 months.
