Pivoting from quality inspector to something new - any advice?

After 10 years as a quality inspector I am thinking about moving into a different field. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. My family is supportive but nervous.

You likely have more transferable skills than you think. Write down what you did, not what the job title said.

Try a small project in the new field before committing. It told me a lot about whether I would enjoy it.
