Pivoting from payroll clerk to something new, payroll clerk here

After 17 years as a payroll clerk I am thinking about moving into a different field. It has been a long 15 weeks. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
