Pivoting from line cook to something new - any advice?

After 12 years as a line cook I am thinking about moving into a different field. I am in Providence, in case local advice matters. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

You likely have more transferable skills than you think. Write down what you did, not what the job title said.
