Pivoting from hotel front-desk agent to something new (St. Louis)

After 8 years as a hotel front-desk agent I am thinking about moving into a different field. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. My family is supportive but nervous.

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 5 months.
