Pivoting from hotel front-desk agent to something new, hotel front-desk agent here

After 18 years as a hotel front-desk agent I am thinking about moving into a different field. It has been a long 19 weeks. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. Has anyone made a similar move?

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 8 months.

Try a small project in the new field before committing. It told me a lot about whether I would enjoy it.
