Pivoting from bookkeeper to something new - what worked for you?

After 8 years as a bookkeeper I am thinking about moving into a different field. I worked as a bookkeeper before this. My family is supportive but nervous.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
