Pivoting from barista to something new - what worked for you?

After 6 years as a barista I am thinking about moving into a different field. I am in Wichita, in case local advice matters. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. Has anyone made a similar move?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
