Pivoting from accounts payable clerk to something new - first time posting

After 10 years as an accounts payable clerk I am thinking about moving into a different field. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. How did you start?

Try a small project in the new field before committing. It told me a lot about whether I would enjoy it.
