Pivoting from accounts payable clerk to something new - 11 months and counting

I want to move from accounts payable clerk to something with more stability. I have been trying to stay organised about it. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
