Offer arrived, can I still ask for more? - what worked for you?

I received an offer as a retail manager and I think the pay is a little low. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did it backfire?

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.
