Offer arrived, can I still ask for more? - what worked for you?

It is the first offer in 6 months and I do not want to mess it up. I am in Salt Lake City, in case local advice matters. The hiring manager was friendly and open.

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
