Offer arrived, can I still ask for more? (Madison)

I received an offer as a sales associate and I think the pay is a little low. I am in Madison, in case local advice matters. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
