Offer arrived, can I still ask for more? (Columbus)

I received an offer as a dental hygienist and I think the pay is a little low. The benefits are decent. What wording worked?

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
