Offer arrived, can I still ask for more? (Albuquerque)

I received an offer as a nurse's aide and I think the pay is a little low. I am in Albuquerque, in case local advice matters. The hiring manager was friendly and open. What wording worked?

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.
