Offer arrived, can I still ask for more? after 5 years as an electrician's helper

It is the first offer in 9 months and I do not want to mess it up. Any experience at all would help. I have a competing interview next week. Did it backfire?

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.
