Offer arrived, can I still ask for more? - 14 months and counting

It is the first offer in 14 months and I do not want to mess it up. It has been a long 6 weeks. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
