Negotiating pay when I have been out of work (update)

Mateo Eriksen · 2026-07-22T03:19:01.560Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a bookkeeper. I am in Nashville, in case local advice matters. I also do not want to sell myself short.
