Negotiating pay when I have been out of work (update)

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. It has been a long 15 weeks. I looked up ranges in St. Louis and they vary a lot. How do you research fairly?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
