Negotiating pay when I have been out of work, line cook here

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I looked up ranges in Honolulu and they vary a lot.

Check several sources for pay in Honolulu, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.
