Negotiating pay when I have been out of work, insurance claims processor here

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as an insurance claims processor. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I looked up ranges in Atlanta and they vary a lot.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
